LOW-COST SPAY/NEUTER Because we believe that affordable spay/neuter is critical in the fight to eliminate pet overpopulation in East Texas, S.N.I.P.-Pets promotes the Animal Protection League’s (APL) low cost spay/neuter program in Longview. APL's contract veterinarians offer surgery two days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Pet owners in all of Longview's neighboring towns, cities and counties are invited to participate in this program.
PET ADOPTIONS S.N.I.P.-Pets volunteers rescue, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted cats and dogs. Foster animals live in foster homes until they are adopted. Foster parents are responsible for feeding, nurturing and the general health of these pets until they find permanent homes. All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and tested for Feline Leukemia/Aids (cats) or heartworms (dogs) before they are adopted out. Adoption fees are $55 for cats and $100 for dogs. Adoption clinics are held weekly from 12-3 p.m. on selected Saturday's at Petco in Longview.
VOLUNTEERING S.N.I.P.-Pets provides volunteers for scheduling spay/neuter appointments, check-in and check-out on surgery days, cleaning, managing donations of cat and dog food from our food bank, helping with miscellaneous upkeep at the Longview facility, assisting with grant writing, and coordinating supply drives for the Longview clinic. Please give us a call if you'd like to join our volunteer team!
DONATE S.N.I.P.-Pets accepts donations of all kinds and in all forms! Many of our foster pets come into our care needing extensive medical care (heartworm treatment, dentals, boarding while recovering from bacterial or upper respiratory infections etc.). S.N.I.P.-Pets depends entirely upon monetary donations to help these animals. Call 903 720 8334 for more information on how and where to make donations. We will also accept donations of food, crates, bowls, carriers, litter boxes or any pet supply and, of course, your time!
